Had your card machine switched off by your till?
Some till providers now charge extra for a card machine that isn’t their own, or stop talking to it altogether. We think a till should ring up the sale, tell the kitchen, and mind its own business about how the customer pays.
So Cheeky Till takes payment two ways of ours — a Cheekypayments reader or Tap to Pay, and a PAX or Castles machine on your own Verofy account — and one way of yours, the machine you already have. Ours give you the fee shown on every sale and automatic reconciliation. Yours costs nothing extra. Two payment providers, so no single one can switch you off.
Everything a till should do. Nothing it shouldn’t charge for.
Built for the places where a queue, a tab and a table can all be open at once. Counter service or table service, it’s the same till.
Menu and modifiers
Oat milk, extra shot, no onions, well done. Every option priced or free, and every item in the category you actually think in.
VAT that knows the rules
Eat in or take away changes the VAT on a sausage roll. The till asks once and gets it right on the receipt and the report.
Tabs
Open a tab by name or table, add to it all night, settle it in one go or three. Nothing gets lost between rounds.
Tables and floor plan
See what is open, what is waiting on food and what has been sat too long. Move a party, merge two tables, keep going.
Split bills
By item, by seat, equally, or “I’ll get the wine”. Each part is its own payment, so nobody stands at the till doing arithmetic.
Tips
A tip prompt on the reader, recorded against the person who earned it. The record the Tips Act asks you to keep, kept for you.
Kitchen tickets and screen
Send to the kitchen printer, or to a screen on any tablet. Fire courses when the table is ready, not when the till is.
Staff PINs and roles
Everyone clocks in with a PIN. Voids, refunds and discounts above a limit need a manager’s. Every action has a name on it.
End of day
Count the drawer, declare what the other card machine took, and get one report that says whether the day added up.
Keeps working when the wifi doesn’t
Orders, tabs, cash and kitchen printing carry on offline and catch up when the connection returns. Card payments need signal.
Bookings that open a tab
Bays, tables or rooms booked online, paid or deposited up front, and open as a tab on the till the moment they arrive. Built first for golf simulator centres; it works for any room with a clock on it.
Reports you will actually read
Sales by item, hour, staff member and payment type. Export to a spreadsheet, or ask the till instead.
Receipts
Printed or emailed, with the VAT breakdown HMRC expects. If you are not VAT registered, it will not pretend you are.

Receipt and kitchen printers: any Epson network receipt printer works. We’ll list the exact models we’ve tested before launch. We don’t sell them, so we don’t mark them up.
The till is free. The plan decides the extras.
Card payments are at Stripe’s published rates on every plan; the till doesn’t change the rate. Planned pricing, before VAT. If it changes before launch, the waitlist hears first.

Moving till is a Monday you’d rather not have. So the import does the typing, and you check it before anything goes live.

The ones people ask first
When will Cheeky Till be available?
Cheeky Till is not live yet. A small number of venues will run it from December 2026, and it opens to the waitlist in early 2027. Registering interest gets you one email when it is ready and nothing else.
Will it work with the card machine I already have?
Yes. You can take the payment on your existing card machine and record it on the till as cash, card or whichever machine took it. The end-of-day report reconciles what the till recorded against that machine’s batch total. You get the fee shown on every sale and automatic reconciliation only when the payment goes through a Cheekypayments reader, Tap to Pay or a Verofy machine we arranged, but nothing forces you to switch.
Do I have to use Cheekypayments for card payments to use the till?
No. The core till is free on every Cheekypayments plan, including the free Starter plan, and it does not charge you extra for using someone else’s card machine. If you do take payments through Cheekypayments the till, the reader and the reporting are one system, which is where it works best.
What does it cost?
The core till costs nothing on any plan. The Hospitality features — tables, split bills, courses, staff roles and ask-your-till — come with the Pro plan at £19 a month and with Scale; they are not available on Starter. Bay and table booking is £29/venue/mo with no booking fees, and included on Scale. A kitchen screen is £9/screen/mo on Starter and Pro and included on Scale. Multi-site comes with Scale. Card payments are at Stripe's published rates on every plan. Prices are before VAT and may change before launch; the waitlist hears first.
Does it work offline?
Taking orders, running tabs, cash payments and printing to the kitchen keep working without a connection and catch up when it returns. Card payments need a connection, because the bank has to say yes.
What hardware do I need?
An iPad, an Android tablet or a phone you already own. For card payments: Tap to Pay on the phone, a Cheekypayments card reader, a PAX or Castles card machine on your own Verofy account that the till drives directly, or the machine you already have. A receipt printer if you want paper receipts or kitchen tickets, and any tablet for a kitchen screen.
What happens to my details if I register interest?
We keep your email, business name and the answers you give, use them to send one email when the till is ready, and delete them within three months of launch or whenever you ask. Details are in our privacy page.
