Five ways to take money.
One rate card.

Most providers price each channel like it is a different company, then charge you a monthly fee for each one. Here the counter, the van, the invoice and the website all sit on the same plan, at the same published rate.

Tap to Pay

Your phone is the card machine

Take contactless cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay straight on an iPhone or Android. Nothing to buy, nothing to charge overnight, nothing to lose down the back of the van.

  • Works on a phone you already own — no dock, no reader, no pairing.
  • Contactless cards and phone wallets. Chip and PIN needs a terminal.
  • The same rate as a countertop machine, because it is the same payment.

Card reader and card machines

A proper machine when you want one

Buy our reader once and it is yours. No rental, no 48-month lease, and no early-termination charge for a box you have already paid for three times over. Want a traditional countertop or portable machine instead? We arrange a PAX A920 or Castles Saturn 1000 on your own Verofy account.

  • The reader is bought outright, not rented. If you leave, you keep it.
  • Chip and PIN as well as contactless, for the customers who want it.
  • A Verofy card machine is priced with you before you sign, and the till drives it directly when Cheeky Till launches.

Online checkout

A checkout on your own site

Drop a hosted checkout into your website and let people buy without ringing you. Card details are handled by Stripe, so nothing sensitive touches your site or ours.

  • Hosted by Stripe, which keeps card data off your servers entirely.
  • Same dashboard as the counter — one place for every sale.
  • Online payments carry a slightly higher rate because the card is not present; the pricing page shows the whole card.

Pay by bank

Skip the card entirely

The customer approves a payment straight from their banking app. No card, no interchange, and a lower fee as a result — worth having for larger invoices where the percentage bites.

  • Money moves bank to bank, so there is no card fee to pass on.
  • Best on higher-value work, where a percentage costs real money.
  • The customer authorises it in their own banking app, so nothing is stored.

Coming early 2027 · Cheeky Till

And a till that works with all five.

Cheeky Till runs on the tablet you own and rings up the sale whether the card goes through our reader, your phone, or the machine you’ve already got. Core till £0 on every plan. Not live yet.

One rate card

Neither the channel nor the plan changes the rate

Card rates are Stripe’s published UK rates on every plan. Whichever of these you use, you pay that and nothing on top.

In person it is 1.4% + 10p on UK and EEA cards; online it is 1.5% + 20pon standard UK cards. Online sits higher because the card schemes charge more when the card is not present — that is Stripe’s pricing, passed through without a markup, and the pricing page shows the whole card.

If you want to know what any of it costs on your own numbers, the fee calculator works it out without asking for an email address.
