Cookies

What we set

When you sign in, we store a session cookie so that the next page you open knows it is still you. It is issued by Supabase, which provides our sign-in, and it is refreshed as you move around the signed-in area so your session does not expire while you are using it.

That is the only cookie Cheekypayments sets. It is strictly necessary: without it there is no way to keep you signed in, and the dashboard cannot work.

What we do not set

• —No analytics. We do not measure which pages you visit or how long you spend on them.
• —No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no pixels from ad networks or social platforms.
• —No third-party tracking scripts of any kind. The only script on our marketing pages is structured data for search engines, which sets nothing and reads nothing.

Why there is no cookie banner

Consent banners exist because most sites set cookies that are not necessary for the site to function. Strictly necessary cookies — the kind that keep you signed in — are exempt from the consent requirement in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, and they are all we use. A banner asking you to accept something you have no realistic choice about would be theatre.

If we ever add analytics, this page changes and a real choice appears with it.

Clearing it

You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and signing out removes the session cookie immediately. Either way the effect is the same: you will be signed out, and you will need to sign in again to reach your dashboard.

Payments

Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our servers. Where a payment page is involved, Stripe sets its own cookies under its own policy — including ones it uses to detect fraud — and those are described in Stripe’s privacy policy rather than here. A Verofy card machine sets no cookies; it is not a web page.
